John Katsilometes brings more than 15 years of professional experience to his role as a fractional CFO and controller at Altus CXO. He serves the ever-changing financial needs of clients, leading complex projects such as ERP and payroll system implementations, developing budgets and KPI reports, managing reporting compliance, and grant management.

With extensive experience in biotech, medical technology, agriculture, manufacturing, women’s health, and pharmaceuticals, John has cultivated a wealth of experience that is broadly applicable. His diverse skill set includes project leadership, excellent communication, technical knowledge, and a strong work ethic. John is known for his committed focus on client needs and empowering team members to tackle new challenges. He facilitates the necessary training and guidance to ensure long-term success, building a strong foundational processes that enable teams to thrive.

John has led numerous impactful projects during his career. One he is particularly proud of is the successful integration of accounting staff and processes during the merger of a $200MM U.S.-based business and a $500MM EU-based company. This complicated transition involved assessing current resources, delegating new responsibilities, managing parallel ERP systems, and transitioning from GAAP to IFRS. Within three months, the merger resulted in a unified accounting team across continents. Additionally, he has held high-level financial roles at Dare Bioscience, Inc., WomanCare Global, and Cibus U.S. LLC.  

John has a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management and Accounting from the University of Southern California and is a member of the Asheville, N.C. Digital Nomads and Asheville Fractional Professionals. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, playing softball, hosting bar trivia, and adding to his ever-growing Nike shoe collection. John has conquered Mount Whitney, completing the hike up and down in 13 hours. He contributes to his local community by cooking meals for a local shelter.
